Golden Apples

Commissioned by City of London Festival 2013

Co-created and performed with Anthony Cairns

Enter an opulent, otherworldly orchard; home of the Mother Goddess, Pomona. She heartily invites all to take shelter and be entertained beneath the canopy of her dominion. This gloriously decadent and vital being bewitches with her beauty and rituals. But be mindful; the goddess does not tolerate contempt or suitors, many men have fallen and she holds the evidence to prove it. There remains only one foolhardy hero who doggedly continues his quest for her golden apples through the city streets. Will you be drawn into his odyssey or venerate the goddess?
